Mobility is the central fulcrum for the good functioning of cities.
If this didn't work, or worked poorly, commerce, schools, activities and even social relations would also stop working.
For this reason it is unthinkable to base good mobility solely and exclusively on the good management of road traffic and it is necessary to build and strengthen different forms of sustainable mobility.
It is therefore clear that to support a new green mobility within everyone's reach, it is essential to have means that support it, such as cycle paths, suitable spaces, programs and incentives.
MobilitARS, an event focused on mobility aimed at all people who follow the evolution of urban mobility, quality of life in cities and climate change, will hold its second edition in the city of Reggio Emilia on 26/27/28 May 2022.
To make this event useful and bring innovative and practicable solutions, MobilitARS is looking for the best Italian and European experiences to be told on the stage of the Loris Malaguzzi International Center
In fact, until March 15th it will be possible to respond to the "Call for Abstracts” launched by MobilitARS: citizens, sector professionals, administrators, are all invited to send winning projects on the subject of urban mobility or have created a successful initiative aimed at transforming cities into welcoming, citizen-friendly places.
The focus of this year's edition will be "the car-free city", an invitation to imagine citizen-friendly urban centers, in order to experience cities in a different and more sustainable way.
The themes touched on in the 2022 edition will be six:
- Environment;
- Safety;
- Well being;
- Economy;
- Space;
- Sociality.
To respond to the Call for abstracts, simply connect to the site and fill out the dedicated form, presenting the project and, if the request is successful, the speaker will have 15 minutes to tell those present about the initiative.
Among those who will have to play the role of selectors we find some of the best experts in the field of urban mobility and environmental sustainability, such as Paolo Gandolfi, former parliamentarian of the Republic and father of the Framework Law on cycling; Anna Donati, spokesperson for the Alliance for Soft Mobility; Mario Tozzi – Senior Researcher at the CNR, scientific communicator and television presenter – Maria Rosa Vittadini, historic professor of urban planning at the IUAV, Rossella Muroni, parliamentarian of ForseEco, Barbara Bigolin, entrepreneur and CEO of Selle Royal Group and Giovanni Mori, environmental engineer, one of the reference faces of Fridays For Future.
