Here we are at the last appointment of our journey dedicated to e-bikes.
After Motor, Drums and Installations, today we talk about Models.
As we have said many times, the perfect e-bike for you responds to your need and question "what do I want to do with it”.
Is it a faithful companion when traveling around the city? Do you want to ride it on your cycling trips? Do you need a faithful ally for free time or for challenging ups and downs?
For every passion and need there is an ideal e-bike for you.
- E-City
With a range varying between 35 and 70 kilometres, it is the perfect bike for city trips or for short out-of-town excursions. They usually have a rear hub motor, which mainly uses the pedaling sensor and allows you to benefit from a significant boost as soon as you touch the pedals. They are always equipped with mudguard, basket, lights and bell to ensure maximum safety in an urban environment.
- E-Folding:
Also known as "folding".
This type of e-bike is always dedicated to purely urban use but with the advantage of being lighter and, indeed, foldable, so that it can be transported in complete comfort on public transport, in the office or at home. The e-folding generally features a rear hub motor and the autonomy is similar to that of e-cities.
- Fat E-Bike:
Often foldable, this type of e-bike has very wide wheels and tires to allow greater grip on soft terrain such as sand, snow or gravel or on rough road surfaces. This feature significantly increases friction and is why the engine is particularly useful, even if the range rarely exceeds 60 kilometres.
- e-Bike Trekking:
It is the ideal e-bike for cycle touring and has a particularly comfortable riding position suitable for long journeys, without critical positions for the back.
Robust and reliable, it is equipped with a central engine and guarantees a great autonomy varying between 80 and 100 kilometres.
Characterized by a very resistant frame, it is equipped with lights and a roof rack and can carry travel bags and everything you need for an unforgettable holiday.
- E-MTB:
This type of e-bike is dedicated to sport and leisure and features great sturdiness, with cutting-edge geometries, to guarantee the best riding performance, on any terrain.
They almost always have a central motor and an integrated or semi-integrated battery which allows a range of between 80 and 100 kilometres.
They are fitted with knobby wheels and large dimensions to guarantee the best grip on the ground and can be cushioned only at the front (Front) or also at the rear (Full) and the travel of the fork and shock absorber represents an important element of evaluation, depending on the degree of difficulty that you intend to address.
- E-Gravel:
It is an ultra-light and extremely aerodynamic e-bike and, unlike racing bikes, it is designed to guarantee greater comfort in the saddle and to pedal even for many hours, for long distances.
Perfect for gravelly terrain and dirt roads, they have knobby and narrower tires than e-MTBs, they have a central motor and the battery allows you to travel between 80 and 90 kilometers in complete tranquility.
- E-Cargo:
They are e-bikes dedicated to the transport of goods or people and can be two or three wheels.
Most popular in Northern Europe, e-Cargos are also gaining ground in our country and can be thought of as a strategic means of transport with a view to sustainable mobility and allowing energy savings for those who drive them.
We have reached the conclusion of this little journey into the e-bike world.
We have seen the fundamental elements that contribute to choosing the perfect e-bike based on use and we hope to have given you useful elements in evaluating your great travel and fun companion!
