The Monte Conero Regional Park is an environmental oasis overlooking the sea.
Established in 1987, the Park is a protected area where there are more than a thousand species and subspecies of plants and is considered the second most important site, after the Strait of Messina, for the spring migration of birds of prey from African lands.
It is possible to visit the Park on foot or by mountain bike, choosing from the 18 paths present.
Two paths of great beauty that we report below are itineraries with different characteristics: the first dedicated to the fittest, the second also perfect for beginners and families who want to enjoy nature and wonderful landscapes.
The hiking trail Two sisters it is a route which, although short, in some points, is very difficult from a technical point of view, which is why it is not suitable for everyone.
Starting from the Sirolo Town Hall, continue along the provincial road towards Ancona and, just outside the town centre, you will have to turn left at the crossroads, towards Via Vallone.
After a short climb, past the Sirolo cemetery, you arrive at a dirt road that winds along the edge of the cliff.
At the crossroads of path no. 301, you will need to go down to the right and take the second path that goes up on the left and arrives in a wonderful field of olive trees.
From here you will have to continue along a path that enters the thick of the Mediterranean scrub and along which you will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the beaches of Sirolo, Numana and the lower coast up to Civitanova Marche.
You will then reach the "Passo del Lupo", one of the most suggestive points of the Park, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the bay of the Two Sisters, so called for the two twin rocks that emerge from the waters of this crystalline sea and which, if seen from afar, they resemble two nuns in prayer.
The second route we recommend is the one to get to the SSassi Neri beach.
Always starting from Sirolo, as in the previous itinerary, you will have to take the provincial road towards Ancona, then reach the crossroads and turn left towards Via Vallone.
After a short climb you will turn right this time and you will have to take the asphalt road up to the viewpoint.
From here you must take the path on the left which, after a short flat stretch, will begin to descend towards a pine forest.
At the crossroads you will have to take the right road which will follow a dirt path that descends towards the Mediterranean vegetation.
From here you reach the "Sassi Neri" beach, characterized by red scale rocks and a crystal clear sea.
Monte Conero is a wonder of nature that must be discovered and experienced to the full, enjoying breathtaking views and landscapes, and nothing like an e-bike can guarantee you a unique experience!
