E-bike travel has always been a great way to visit new places freely and respecting the environment.
Unlike a classic walking or bus tour, electric bicycle tours impose an important limit on the number of bags you can take with you, so it's important to pack your bags smartly. Our advice is, therefore, to limit yourself to one travel bag. On most bicycle tours, the time spent on the street is far greater than the time spent at the overnight stay, offering little time to do laundry and dry clothes, so traveling with very breathable clothes is recommended and with quick drying.
As for the equipment and accessories recommended for travel by e-bike, you can find:
- Helmet
- Water bottle
- Bag
- 2 pairs of cyclist shorts
- 2 breathable t-shirts
- 2 pairs of breathable socks
- Comfortable shoes
- Cyclist gloves
- Casual clothing for tour activities (2 T-shirts and / or shirts, trousers or jeans, socks and, of course, underwear)
- Jacket and / or raincoat (depending on the climate)
- Swimsuit (this is recommended for tours to seaside resorts or lakes)
- Toiletries (toothbrush and toothpaste, razor, hairbrush, shampoo, deodorant, hand sanitizer)
- Various (passport, wallet and identity card, health insurance, cash, camera, fabric bag for clothes to be washed)
- Battery charger for phone, camera, music players
- Adapters, especially in the case of tours in foreign countries
- First aid kit
- Insect repellent
- Antiseptic cream
- Sun cream
- Band-aids
- Medicine
Although it is obvious that traveling by bicycle is cheap, it is still important to invest in good equipment (robust and light). If you plan to spend a lot of time riding your bicycle, it is important to invest in the right equipment from the start, to avoid incurring unexpected expenses during an e-bike tour. It is important to know the equipment well before leaving and always keep in mind that it is not necessary to occupy space with objects of doubtful utility.
