After the great success of October 21st, the FSA Bike Festival – Garda Trentino returns to kick off the beautiful season full of events dedicated to MTBs, pedal-assisted and otherwise, in Alto Garda.
From Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May the former Cattoi area of Riva del Garda will host the flagship event for mountain bike lovers, ready to offer record numbers as announced at the press conference held in Trento at the Trentino Marketing headquarters.
“The Bike Festival returns to its historic dates, kicking off the spring-summer season in Garda Trentino in style - he has declared Maurizio Rossini, CEO of Trentino Marketing – The massive presence of the major bike brands establishes the Bike Festival as an event observed not only by Europe but also by the whole world in general, effectively entering the ranks of the major international events. For us it is an incredible opportunity to present Trentino and in particular Garda Trentino to the world: we will strive to guarantee the maximum in terms of services while also trying to best educate our guests, so that the fun and pleasure of experiencing an area is also combined with attention and respect for the territory itself."
As we said at the beginning, this edition promises large numbers: in fact, over 50,000 visitors are expected. 200 exhibitors, over 300 brands in the sector and 2,000 participants in the races scheduled over the weekend.
“The former Cattoi area has an exhibition area of 25,000 m2, designed to ensure that the athlete from Garda Trentino, who currently represents 58.6% of the area's guests, can feel at home. The heart of the Bike Festival is the outdoor fair with important brands, events and ambassadors who will bring innovation and interesting ideas for those who love this sector - commented Silvio Rigatti, President of the APT Garda Dolomiti. – The Bike Festival is exhibition, competition, but also large numbers and this makes us extremely pleased because it means that Riva del Garda has been chosen as an international showcase for the world."
The event will offer a program full of emotions thanks to the competitions and visitors will be able to access the expo area for free and attend over 15 events, from bike trial shows with the mtb phenomenon Fabio Wibmer and his crew to yoga courses for bikers together with expert freerider Timo Pritzel.
The party will then continue on the evening of Saturday 30 April: from 7pm the expo area will host the Open Night with music, street food and lots of fun, followed by the Bike Festival Party at the Spiaggia degli Olivi from 10pm about.
