It's mid-November, the days are shorter and the first cold temperatures are starting to make themselves felt.
The polar temperatures that we may expect in the coming months are not here yet, but in any case, as soon as we cross the threshold of our home, we miss the warmth of our duvet.
But this should absolutely not be a deterrent to putting our bike in the garage!
Indeed, autumn cycling has something romantic and fascinating about it and can make us enjoy our cities with so many shades of colors!
The first useful element to consider to combat the first cold weather on our e-bike friend is on clothing to use.
The great classic of the “dress in layers” is a golden tip, especially in this period where it is cooler in the morning than in the afternoon; so dressing in layers with comfortable clothing that is easy to remove as the temperatures rise is always a great idea.
Don't forget to bring one. backpack which may seem obvious to those who are used to getting around by bike, but for beginners it certainly isn't.
Another important element is the shoes: you don't need to have professional footwear, also because the pedals that all e-bikes normally come with already have a bit of grip.
The important thing, however, is that they are comfortable shoes and that they make you feel safe when you put your foot down at the traffic light or to stop for any other need.
And heels? Well, for those we recommend you put them in a backpack and take them out once you reach the workplace.
Oral hands.
They are the part most exposed to the morning chill but nothing a pair of gloves can't solve.
What if it rains?
The clothing waterproof It's obviously the solution.
First of all, we keep the foot warm and protected, which releases heat to the entire body and allows the vital organs to maintain the right temperature.
As for clothing, waterproof jackets and overpants are perfect, as they can protect your trousers from water. Most models have ankle zips that allow you to put them on without taking off your shoes, making them very easy to put on and take off.
To protect your things, however, you will only need waterproof bags to cover your backpack or waterproof bags that can keep everything dry and safe.
No excuses then.
Don't be discouraged by the cold and the yellowing of the leaves.
Starting the morning with a nice ride is the best gift you can give yourself!
