Fantic Motor strengthens the e-bike sector

That the e-bike dominates the bicycle market and created many business opportunities is now beyond a shadow of a doubt.

To satisfy the ever-increasing demand for bicycles, Fantic Motor, a Venetian company specializing in motorbikes, has decided to aim high with its pedal-assisted wonders and, in addition to creating products of the highest quality, has decided to dedicate the new headquarters in Santa Maria di Room.

Last September 28th they inaugurated the new headquarters which adds to the company's two existing factories, in the municipality of Veneziano and in Therefore of Treviso, and the latest purchase, that of Motori Minarelli in the Bolognese area.

The new headquarters focuses completely on hi-tech: in the four thousand square meters, of which 3,400 dedicated to production and 600 for management activities, modern technologies will allow the company to triple its turnover in one year and to quadruple the number in two years of e-bikes currently produced.

A huge achievement for Fantic, which seven years ago was purchased and relaunched by the network of entrepreneurs VeNetWork, a joint-stock company that operates as an accelerator of production opportunities and which brings together 57 Veneto entrepreneurs and 220 companies with a turnover of 3 billion.

The president of Fantic Motor, Tiziano Busin, together with the CEO Mariano Roman described this new milestone by defining it as "a new step in an exciting growth path”.

In December last year the company purchased Motori Minarelli in Calderara di Reno from Yamaha Motor Europe and, with the opening of the new headquarters, will bring Fantic's production capacity to 50 thousand bicycles per year, setting the objective of 150 million euros in turnover.

“All Fantic products, motorcycles and e-bikes, are 100% made in Italy in its locations with cutting-edge components” reported the President of the Region Luca Zaia “with more than 50 years of experience, Fantic designs, engineers and assembles all its products in house, in Padua and Treviso”.

Furthermore, Alberto Baban, president of VetNetWork added: “Fantic Motor is a company that can be used as a model for the restart of the Italian economy. It is a prestigious Made in Italy brand that has an eye towards the future, new markets and environmental sustainability".

The data relating to turnover speak clearly: it went from 800 thousand euros recorded in 2014 to 47 million in 2020, a figure which according to the company's forecasts is destined to triple at the end of 2021, reaching 150 million.
