Work has officially begun on the construction of the BRN Village, the first village entirely dedicated to the world of cycling and wellness in Italy.
He will be born in Forlimpopoli, in the province of Forlì-Cesena and will be 70,000 m2 of greenery for public use, cycle paths, pump tracks and bike cafes that will merge with the new headquarters of BRN Bike Parts, leading company in Italy in the distribution of bicycle components and accessories.
The BRN Village will be built in the historic SFIR sugar factory, which closed at the beginning of the 2000s and has since become a symbol of neglect and abandonment, now returned to the city with a redevelopment project integrated with the territory open to the public which combines economy, environment, free time, sport and well-being.
The park will have 500 new plantings and a cycle/pedestrian path of almost 2 linear km, which connects the park to other cycle paths coming from the urban center.
In the Hub there will be three tracks dedicated to all cyclists.
For the little ones there will be an educational track in rubberized surface designed for civic road education, made available to local organizations and schools who will also be able to use an educational classroom in which to deal with the toric aspects of riding a bike on street.
There will also be two Pump tracks, i.e. technical routes for MTB and Freestyle, one dedicated to children aged 6 to 14 and the other dedicated to all PRO cyclists, for a total of 342 linear meters and an overall length of 3,200 m2 which make this plant the largest pump track area in Italy.
There will also be a 560 m2 Bike Café, designed to welcome visitors in a comfortable and dynamic space, where they will find food and drinks for health and sport, 100% organic and linked to the territory, including sports supplements and foods for health products by Buon Food, a BRN business branch active in the Sport & Health Food sector.
It will be a modular environment where there will also be a reading corner, with publications, manuals and guides related to cycle tourism.
In the heart of the BRN Village there will be the "cyclist's square", a partially covered area where 3 different Bike Stations will be installed, equipped with tools and equipment for the care and repair of the bike, combined with 9 universal charging points for the batteries of the -bike. A nice attraction will be the functional water house, where all cyclists will be able to fill their water bottles by choosing between alkaline water, hydrogenated water and mineralized water: all optimal solutions aimed at improving hydration and performance.
The square is located within a cycle path of over 2 km, perfectly integrated with the cycle path network of the Municipality of Forlimpopoli and represents a strategic crossing point as it is positioned at the foot of Bertinoro, one of the most famous climbs in road cycling Romagna and included in the main routes of the territory.
