L’Etna by E-Bike

There are places so beautiful and evocative that remain in the heart and surely an active volcano, majestic and able to enchant anyone is one of these.

Let's talk about Etna, also called Mongibello.

And if this majestic site is next to a town like Bronte, famous for its tasty pistachios and its wonderful colours, this cycle itinerary can only be wonderful.

Bronte is located in a privileged naturalistic territory because if on one side there is the Etna Park, on the other there is the Nebrodi Park.

A city rich in history, culture, colors and traditions whose city center is characterized by streets paved with lava stone slabs.

The Etna Park, on the other hand, is a vast area full of woods and paths to explore that preserves food and wine treasures such as Nerello vineyards, Bronte pistachios, Maletto strawberries and many varieties of pears and peaches.

For those who love e-MTB this is heaven.

For those who are very fit, there is the circular route that starts from Bronte and reaches Monte Maletto, where you can admire a spectacular view of Etna, and the Piano dei Grilli, declared a Site of Community Importance and a Special Protection Area.

Another itinerary, mostly on asphalt and more accessible than the previous one, is the path from Bronte to Randazzo, where you can walk the Sentiero delle Sorgenti, 18 km immersed in thick vegetation and springs.

After a beautiful, and challenging, route you will then arrive in Randazzo, a beautiful medieval village in the center of the Etna Park, the Nebrodi Park and the Alcantara River Park.

Both routes are for the fittest, but the view and the lunar landscape that you can admire will be worth every drop of sweat shed!
