Two beautiful projects that are coming to life in the panorama of infrastructures dedicated to sustainable mobility in the Veneto.
In fact, the start of the works for the Ciclovia del Sole in the Verona section and the restyling of the Mincio cycle path, between Peschiera del Garda and Mantua.
The Ciclovia del Sole, which will cross the municipalities of Verona, Sommacampagnana, Sona, Castelnuovo del Garda and Valeggio sul Mincio, is part of a large regional project to encourage sustainable mobility and promote bike mobility both in everyday life and for cycle tourism.
The works for the 1st and 2nd lot have been started and the objective of this cycle route is to connect the national network to the urban one, creating a fundamental connection for the territory, which will improve the daily lives of citizens, making travel safer and more sustainable
The Ciclovia del Sole, an integral part of the EuroVelo Ciclovia 7 which connects the North Cape to Malta, will cross several Italian regions, including Veneto, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany, thus contributing to promoting cycling mobility and cycle tourism on large scale.
The Project of Alto Mincio cycle path instead, it aims to redevelop the cycle path that crosses Peschiera del Garda, Ponti sul Mincio, Monzambano, Valeggio and Volta Mantovana.
The restyling aims to improve the safety and attractiveness of the cycle path, making the route more attractive from a historical-landscape point of view and redistributing tourist presences in the hinterland, thus alleviating the pressure on already very busy areas such as Lake Garda.
The project relating to the Mincio cycle path includes repaving interventions, the creation of narrative structures along the route, the creation of stations equipped with services for cyclists and the implementation of infrastructures to guarantee safety along the entire route.
The goal is to promote a sustainable and safe mobility, which respects the environment and improves the quality of life of citizens.
Attention to cycling translates into concrete investments which, in addition to promoting tourism, contribute to creating more livable and resilient communities, capable of facing the challenges of the future with greater awareness and responsibility.
