The fourth edition of the Valtellina E-Bike Festival will return on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May 2023.
It will be a weekend entirely dedicated to nature tours, food and wine, adventure and, obviously, electric mountain bikes.
The Valtellina E-bike Festival aims to introduce cycle tourism lovers to Lower Valtellina, a spectacular area that contains many historical and naturalistic beauties and which has wonderful paths to ride on an eMTB.
As with all other editions, the main initiative is a journey of 35 kilometers on a route that involves vineyards, villages and woodland paths, a wonderful tour that leads to discovery from Lower Valtellina to Lake Como.
Will also be present Taste of Valtellina tour, an easy tour made up of several tasting stops in ancient buildings, historic cellars and an abbey from the year one thousand immersed in the woods.
Another beautiful attraction concerns the “Italian Yellowstone”, a nature tour of Val Masino and Enchanted Forest, which takes participants to one of the most beautiful and evocative areas of Valtellina.
For the more experienced, however, we find the Trail Experience, an enduro style adventure on trails in the Orobie Alps with a tasty lunch stop based on polenta and sausages in the company of the local Alpine group.
Among the new features of this edition, there is one stage of the E-Enduro circuit, a highly anticipated challenge in which the main Italian riders will take part.
The races will take place throughout the weekend starting from the eBike village and special tests on more technical and adrenaline-filled trails, revealed to the athletes at the last minute.
The race routes, like the other initiatives of the Valtellina Ebike Festival, are designed and prepared by 360 Valtellina Bike, a local association with more than 150 members that deals with the recovery and maintenance of the paths of Lower Valtellina in order to share the passion for mountain biking.
The Valtellina Ebike Festival grows every year and aims to become an important event for e-mtb enthusiasts not only within national borders. To confirm this desire for internationality of the event, but also of the entire territory, there will be the presence of Hans Rey. Several times trial bike world champion, thanks to his exploits he has become a true cycling legend
The center of the festival will beE-Bike Village, in the historic center of Morbegno, an exhibition village where you can see new products for cycle tourism, test new ebike models but where even the little ones can learn mountain biking techniques
Pulling the strings of the event is a committee created ad hoc where the main components are, as well as the group 360 Valtellina Bike, the outdoor marketing agency Days Off which deals with developing and communicating projects based on outdoor activities, e Ebike world, a large store in Morbegno focused on the sale of mountain bikes and electric bicycles.
The Valtellina Ebike Festival is part of a context that aims to strengthen the Valtellina area as one of the main Italian destinations dedicated to cycling tourism enthusiasts.
A constantly evolving territory that is investing in the creation of routes and services such as, for example, theAlta Via del Bitto, a high-altitude cycle path of over 90 kilometers that connects the main mountain pastures of the mountains above Morbegno, or the Orobikeando route which wants to connect, passing through the San Marco Pass, the Bergamo Orio al Serio airport with Tirano and Alta Valtellina.
